Glasgow City AC kicked off the 2017 BAL season at the scene of the great escape last year, Basingstoke. Division 1 promised to be a titanic battle this time round with some of the most illustrious clubs in the country striving for supremacy. Despite the best attempts of a few good men that made the journey to compete, we finished bottom of the table, level on points with the host club. It was also close at the top with Cardiff just having the edge on compatriots, Swansea, to finish winners of the match.
On Friday 28th April 2017 the first outdoor GAA Miler Meet of the season, incorporating the Scottish National 10,000m Championships, takes place at Crownpoint Sports Complex. This has been a record entry for the 10,000m and we are looking forward to a cracking series of tightly contested races on the night. We are also hoping to have Shot Putt and Hammer events for U17/U20 athletes. Entries are still open so enter quick through the Q-Buster link below.
