On sunny night at Scotstoun Stadium the second Metric Miler Meet of the season got off to a great start with a new world record in the 200m Race Running with a time of 46.92 for 10 year old Gavin Drysdale.
The night moved swiftly on to the mens A 1500m race with Grant Muir winning in a time of 3.54.12. It was then Chole Cowan’s turn to step up finishing first in the womens A race in a time of 4.51.07.
With every race running to schedule and the pacemakers doing a fantastic job the crowd quickly got behind the athletes helping them along to plenty of PB’s and SB’s.
The last race of the night, the 5k B race saw another world record attempt by Fiona Matheson in the F50 category with Fiona just finishing outside the time with 16.55.08.
A big well done and thank you goes out to all the athletes and everyone behind the scenes who help make tonight a great success.
