This year changes have been made to the Ignis Asset Management Women's 10K in 2012. As part of Glasgow's run up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games the Executive Committee of the race have taken the decision to support Scottish Talented athletes as they strive towards achieving performance standards for 2014.
Glasgow Pole Vault Coach, Brian Donaldson returned recently from four days at the Polish, Olympic Training Centre in Spala, where Brian and three other Scottish Coaches had the opportunity to observe the Polish National Under 23 Squad’s Training Camp.
The GAA Miler Meets are returning this summer. The successful format piloted last year will be repeated with each meet lasting 2 hours. There is NO entry on the day. Entry details will appear soon.
The Track and In-field will be closed for all activity from Monday 9th April and re -opens Tuesday 15th May to allow for the build of the Glasgow 7s rugby event on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th May. Clubs/Athletes will be able to use the Warm-up Facility at the Stadium and local plans are being discussed with Athletics Clubs re use of the Scotstoun Campus during this Time.
