Team Glasgow

TEAM GLASGOW is a composite team consisting of U20 athletes from Victoria Park Glasgow, Shettleston Harriers, Giffnock North and Kilbarchan.

Dates and teams competing for 2010 Northern Premier league matches are as following;

Sale Harriers 25th April

Team Edinburgh 23rd May

Gateshead Harriers 27 June

Team Glasgow 25th July

WELL DONE TO THE TEAM FINISHING A VERY CREDIBLE 5TH IN THE JUNIOR LEAGUE FINAL.

In 2008 Team Glasgow were promoted into the premier division, and after four close matches this year the team came out on top once again. Following the win in the last match in Gateshead by a considerable margin, the team go through to the final hoping to demonstrate the same strength as the Northan Premier League Champions.

Aswell as congratulations, thanks must also be awarded to team manager John Melvin and assisstant team manager Evelyn Melvin for their devotion to team. Additionally, thanks must go to the team officials who earned the team valuable points.

Above all, great thanks go to the athletes who have committed themselves to Team Glasgow 2009. For those athletes who become part of the U23 age group next year, you have been an inspiration to those who have yet to experience the entirity of Team Glasgow.

To everyone, you have all been a valuable member of this great team of young athletes.
